Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a morning news anchor and crime reporter at WCBD-TV. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's stories about the relaxed approach police take to DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in State authorities issuing an even more strict directive on these instances.
